Testing: All transformers are tested for all routine tests as per IS:2026 at our works with modern. Sohphisticated & regularly calibrated meters through a cantralised control panel. Tests conducted are- 1. Measurement of HV&LV Winding resistance . 2.Measurement of voltage ratio and check-up of voltage relationship and polarity. 3.Measurement of imedance voltage /short circuit impedance (Principal tapping ) load loss. 4. Measurement of no load loss and current. 5.Measurement of insulation resistance. 6.Induced over voltage withstand test. 7.High voltage test on HV &LV windings. Precautions before commissioning the Transformer at site 1. Check the meggar result at site. 2.Check the oil level through oil level indicator. 3. Release air through air releasing Plug. 4. Arcing horn must be connected properly. 5.Breathers must be fitted in the breather pipe properly. 6.Thermometer pocket must have the oil for proper temperatur indication. 7. Earthing must be connected properly.
